3. Pit sizes and opening sizes are minimums. Actual sizes must be determined by job conditions.
4. Guide rails must be installed in perfectly vertical position. Use plumb line to correctly position the pump base.
5. Pump discharge check valves and gate valves should be installed on horizontal or 45 inch lines. Installation on vertical lines is not recommended.

CONTROLS: The recommended control arrangement for VSS-QD pumps is the Submers-a-bulb control (see SBS) which includes on-off mercury bulbs, high water alarm, temperature sensor cut-out, moisture sensor alarm and automatic alternator for duplex units. Float switch controls are also available.
